Scholarship name: James G. Fulton Internship Fund
The James G. Fulton Fellows Program was established in 1972 as a living memorial to the late Western Pennsylvania Congressman who, over a 27-year period, trained more than 100 students in his office and taught them first-hand about the challenges and rewards of public life. This Fellowship provides internships in the legislative branches of government, for students preferably from Allegheny County and vicinity.
Eligibility:
- Have a residence in: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland
- Applicant must have completed previous coursework in American Politics.
- Applicant must be interested in interning in an office of a Pennsylvania Congressman.
- Complete an application and include a 300 word statement identifying a local, state or federal policy issue of interest to you, why you desire to participate in the program and what you hope to gain from the experience.
- Maintain a GPA of: 2.75
- Write and submit an essay: The 300-word statement identifying a local, state or federal policy issue of interest, why the student wants to participate in the fellows program and what he/she hopes to gain from the experience

- Provide a college transcript.
- Provide 2 letters of reference.
