Scholarship name: Katherine Marie Ferrick/Elizabeth McCabe Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide nursing scholarships for students who attend Central Catholic or Oakland Catholic High School who wish to enter the field of Nursing.

Eligibility:

• Pursue a degree or studies in: Nursing
• Attend high school at/in: Oakland Catholic or Central Catholic High School.
• Applicant must provide letter of acceptance into the School of Nursing (not just pre-requisites to qualify for the nursing program).
• Complete an application.
• Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA in nursing school in order to receive continued funding through this scholarship.
• Maintain a GPA of: 3.00
• Write and submit an essay: One-page essay explaining your goals as a professional nurse.

How to apply:

• Provide a high school transcript.
• Provide the following letters of reference: Two letters of reference. One from a high school teacher. If you have done volunteer work in the healthcare field, your second letter should be from a representative of that field.
• Write and submit an essay: One-page essay explaining your goals as a professional nurse.
