Scholarship name: Vocational Training Fund for Girls

Scholarships for vocational training to underprivileged students of Allegheny County.

Eligibility:

  • Have a residence in: Allegheny County
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Institution at which to use scholarship: Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Bidwell Training Center, Everest Business Institute, ITT Technical Institute-Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Technical Institute, Point Park University, Robert Morris University, or Triangle Technical Institute-Pittsburgh.
  • Applicant must have graduated from an Allegheny County high school.
  • Complete an application.
  • Preference will be given to qualified females.
  • Write and submit an essay: Not to exceed 200 words, highlighting facts about yourself; eg, academic performance, your chosen field of study and why, you career objectives and future goals.

How to apply:

  • Provide a high school transcript.
  • Provide a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR).
  • Provide one letter of reference.
