Scholarship name: Walter Read Hovey Memorial Fund

<p>To provide scholarships to advance the professional career of young persons with talent in the field of art history and related fields.</p>

Eligibility:

  • Pursue a degree or studies in: Art History
  • Preference will be given to U. S. citizens.
  • Currently enrolled full-time in graduate school (having completed one year with credit) specializing in Art History or a related field such as museum work, conservation, or restoration.
  • Applicant must demonstrate achievement as an art historian and submit a curriculum vitae.
  • Write and submit an essay: Submit a statement of not more than 1,000 words addressing: Why art history or conservation/museumship is your chosen field; and What you hope to accomplish from this award.

How to apply:

  • Provide a college transcript.
  • Provide 2 letters of recommendation.
  • Write and submit an essay: Submit a statement of not more than 1,000 words addressing: Why art history or conservation/museumship is your chosen field; and What you hope to accomplish from this award.
