PSO Musicians Care
The musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra are excited to present a series of benefit concerts that are intended to raise funds to establish the "PSO Musicians Care" fund, a fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
The money raised for this fund will establish an endowment to directly benefit local area school and community music programs whose budgets have undergone cuts in funding. Among the many things this fund will support: it will help to repair musical instruments, get lessons for young students, provide scholarships to young people interested in music as a career, and help pay for buses to get children back to Heinz Hall for the PSO's education concert series. The PSO musicians feel passionately about the value of arts education, and feel the responsibility to aid in the cultural enrichment of young people's lives.
