The Sandra L. Neiderhiser/Ligonier Valley BPW Scholarship Fund of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County was created by family and friends of Sandy Neiderhiser in 2000. The scholarship provides a lasting legacy to honor Sandra’s memory.
In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, Mrs. Neideriser was also Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Commercial National Bank. Her love of God, family and her community was evident throughout her lifetime. One of her last requests was that a scholarship be made available in her memory to help young women from the Ligonier Valley achieve their goals of higher education.
The scholarship is awarded to young women who exemplify the traits that Sandy displayed during her life and are the values that Business and Professional Women uphold: service, leadership, scholarship, integrity and compassion.
