Eligibility

  • Pursue a degree or studies in: Government or Public Service
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Be a City of Pittsburgh employee actively pursuing a career in government or public service.
  • Have been accepted for study in a related graduate or undergraduate program.
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5.
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Write and submit an essay: Two 500 word essays: "Why you are pursuing a career in government" and "Define a national issue and your proposed solution or commentary on it".

How to Apply

  • Provide a college transcript.
  • Provide a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR).
  • Provide letter(s) of reference: 2
  • Write and submit an essay: Two 500 word essays: "Why you are pursuing a career in government" and "Define a national issue and your proposed solution or commentary on it".
