Jennifer Marino joined the Foundation in 2016 as scholarship coordinator. In her position, she administers that program, which covers about 300 scholarships totaling $2.8 million in distributable income each year. She also manages the grant process for the West Allegheny Physicians’ Association Fund. Additionally, Jennifer assists the grants manager as a member of the Grants Management team, and works closely with the systems owner for the Foundation’s online scholarship platform.
Jennifer arrived with nine years as accounting assistant and assistant director for financial aid at Pennsylvania State University’s New Kensington and Greater Allegheny campuses. Jennifer’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and access has been a guiding force through her professional career, including her time as Financial Literacy Educator, where she created the first comprehensive literacy program at a Penn State campus.
As an avid arts supporter, Jennifer enjoys dance and teaches Modern and Folkloric Egyptian dance at the Kelly Strayhorn Alloy studio. Jennifer is also the mother of two Penn State graduates and counts traveling, biking and discovering the new hot restaurant as her most enjoyable pursuits.
