Tony Award-winning artistic director Oskar Eustis to speak Dec. 10

Continuing the tradition of elevating artists in Pittsburgh through the Carol R. Brown Creative Achievement Awards, legendary artistic director and producer Oskar Eustis will engage in a moderated discussion about the role and responsibility of artists in society. The conversation will be moderated by The Heinz Endowments President Grant Oliphant and will include questions from the audience.

National Leaders on Agenda for Oct. 21-22 Event

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 12, 2018 – The city will be at the epicenter of one of America's most timely, important discussions when Duquesne University and The Pittsburgh Foundation – in cooperation with the National Constitution Center – host the "National Conference on the First Amendment: Bedrock of American Freedom." The two-day conference will be held on Oct. 21-22 on the Duquesne campus.

$2.1 million awarded for scientific research

Awards include $300,000 for program pairing undergraduates with innovative scientists

PITTSBURGH, Pa., Aug. 30, 2018 – To stimulate innovative collaboration among young scientific researchers and later-career investigators, The Board of the Charles E. Kaufman Foundation, a supporting organization of The Pittsburgh Foundation, has awarded 10 scientific research grants totaling $1.9 million.
