Small and Mighty: All About the Youth Community Center

All About the Youth Community Center

The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Small and Mighty program awarded $15,000 to All About the Youth Community Center in 2021. The organization was created to address a need in the community for preventative programs for the youth.

The All About the Youth Community Center is a volunteer-run, Black-led and serving out-of-school program serving foster youth, All About the Youth utilizes a hybrid model that balances academic enrichment with experiential learning and positive youth development. The organization supports up to 58 students a year, promoting high school graduation and the pursuit of post-secondary educational opportunities. This year, the organization is contracted to work with the Department of Human Services to give each student a more individualized plan. This grant will be used to support the cost of salaries, supplies and administrative costs.

The Small and Mighty grants program focuses on grant seeking for small nonprofits that are meeting basic needs in our region. Since 2016, the program has awarded funding to many nonprofit organizations with budgets of less than $600,000. View a list of all Small and Mighty grantees.
