We will catalyze partnerships across every facet of the region – including individual donors, community activists, corporate and government leaders and private foundations – to build a more equitable, just and vibrant Pittsburgh. We will bring people with diverse ideas, talents and vantage points together to mobilize community resources, leverage cross-sector investments and promote the Foundation’s mission through policy change.
We will build relationships and catalyze assets by:

Convening stakeholders and attracting funding for key initiatives, ensuring that convenings include those directly affected by issues we are addressing, and identifying opportunities to drive dollars from the public and private sector to where they are most needed.

Determining where we can push for progress toward the Foundation’s mission by acting as leader, supporter or partner and adopting a mission-aligned policy framework to guide our decision-making and engagement.

Leveraging our financial assets beyond grantmaking to support our social change goals by including diversity, equity and inclusion as a priority in the management of our investments, increasing opportunities to generate investments aligned with the Foundation’s values and objectives, and providing impact investment options for donors.
