COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS

As part of The Pittsburgh Foundation’s strategic planning process, the Foundation worked with Common Cause Consultants to gather feedback to ensure that the plan aligns with community perspectives. The Community Conversations with Nonprofit and Community Leaders Project took place from August to October of 2022. Common Cause Consultants engaged 300 people through in-person sessions, pop-up meetings and a survey. The conversations intentionally took a strengths-based approach by asking participants what it means for people to thrive, what they are dreaming about, and what they need to fulfill their dreams for themselves, their family and their community.

Findings from the Community Conversations are summarized in this executive summary and will inform our foundation-directed grantmaking priorities in the years ahead.
