Scholarships

The Kiski Area Get on Track Scholarship was created by Bill and Stephanie Kennedy to provide scholarships for Kiski Area High School track or cross-country athletes who intend to pursue a 2- or 4-year degree.

The Jack Luskay Memorial Scholarship Fund for Practicing or Prospective School Librarians of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created for a practicing or prospective school librarian. The monies are to be used for transportation, registration fee, membership dues, and hotel/meal expenses for the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association conference, held annually.

The Eric S. Horvath Memorial Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation in memory of Eric, a Bethel Park High School athlete full of life, blessed with a great personality and winning smile, who tragically lost his young life in a drowning accident weeks after his graduation. Scholarships are for graduating seniors at Bethel Park High School who are members of the football team.

The William R. Shaffalo Scholarship Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created to provide educational assistance to students attending Upper St. Clair High School who demonstrates talent in art and is pursuing an undergraduate art major.

The Dr. Matthew R. Hadley Scholarship Fund was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships awarded to one or more graduating seniors from McKeesport Area, Clairton City, Steel Valley, South Allegheny or East Allegheny High Schools.

The Dorothy and Richard Barr Scholarship Fund was created at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County to provide scholarship support to Westmorland County High School students who have demonstrated community leadership and strong academic performance. The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. The applicant must also show community leadership in the form of volunteer activities inside and outside of school.
