Introducing Foundation Community Scholarship Funds
In recent decades, the cost of higher education has increased dramatically and put college and trade school out of reach for too many students. To address this, we are aligning our scholarship program with our organizational values. Effective immediately, we will be launching two responsive community scholarship funds: one in Westmoreland County and one in Allegheny County—that will award at least $10,000 payable over four years in annual installments of $2,500 to each student.
Join with us and fund our region’s future. If you value education and want to celebrate and support a brighter future for students in our region, make a donation in any amount to one or both of our community scholarship funds. Donations are tax deductible. If you give more than $2,500, you’ll be invited to special events that celebrate our scholars.
Education Opportunity Fund for Allegheny County
This fund gives preference to students with financial need, who are BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) and/or to first-generation college students. Traditional and nontraditional students are eligible.
Westmoreland Education Fund for Westmoreland County
This fund gives preference to students with financial need and who are first-generation college students. Traditional and nontraditional students are eligible.
Thanks to our partnership with Scholarship America, all community scholarship applicants for both Allegheny and Westmoreland counties have access to millions in additional scholarships.
