The Old Joe Club began in 1992 as a "Men's Night Out," an evening of activities that attracted generous, philanthropic-minded gentlemen looking for a relaxing way to raise money for charity.

The first fundraiser was a huge success and brought in more than $2000. Hoping to build on the momentum, Ernie Vallozzi and Rob Unkovic formed a 14-man committee and called it the Knights of Old Joe Club with the purpose of continuing the annual winter tradition in perpetuity.

The success and reputation of the Old Joe Club has grown through the years and raised more than a quarter of a million dollars for charity. More than 100 people turn out at Pike Run Country Club in Donegal for an evening of cocktails, dinner, skeet shooting and an auction.

At the heart of it all is the goal of supporting the Greensburg YMCA and other local organizations that enhance the lives of many in Western Pennsylvania in the areas of human services, art, music in education, conservancy, education through scholarships, child protection and programs in life enrichment.

The Old Joe Club will celebrate its 20th year in 2014. The long-term vision of the Old Joe Club is to establish a legacy of caring and involved giving, which will be realized for generations to come.
