Jeanne M. Knox (formerly Loeb) of New York died in October of 2000. She left her estate to her children, Thomas G. Loeb and Nancy L. Rackoff, to establish a “family fund.” The siblings divided their mother’s estate to create several funds at the Pittsburgh Foundation, including the Rackoff-Loeb Family Fund.
Lawyer and philanthropist Nancy Rackoff of Pittsburgh advises the fund and demonstrates a serious commitment to her community.
Rackoff attended the University of Pennsylvania for undergraduate and law degrees. As a lawyer, Rackoff now provides estate planning and administration services to individuals, entrepreneurs, owners of family businesses, fiduciaries, charitable foundations and nonprofit organizations in the Pittsburgh area.
In her community, Rackoff primarily devotes her time to organizations that share her goal of providing Pittsburgh’s underserved populations with the opportunity to have better lives. She serves on the Jewish Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees, Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, Forbes Fund Board of Directors and the Manchester Bidwell Corporation Board of Trustees.
The Rackoff-Loeb Family Fund is used to support organizations and programs that are near to the hearts of the Rackoff-Loeb family.
