Franklin “Bill” Agnew and his wife, Mrs. Dorothy “Penny” Agnew, established the F.E. Agnew Family Fund at the end of 1988 to promote charities across the region, with a special focus on arts, education, historic preservation, health care, and human services for women and the homeless.
Mr. and Mrs. Agnew married in August 1962, a few years before Mr. Agnew became CFO of the H.J. Heinz Company. In 1973, Mr. Agnew was promoted to Senior Vice President at Heinz and later appointed as a Director of the Prudential Insurance Company, where he served until 2004. The Agnew’s three children—Jennifer, Timothy, and Carolyn—now advise the fund alongside their parents.
Through the F.E Agnew Fund, the Agnew family has been addressing local, national, and international issues for over twenty years. As the family grows, they continue to expand the scope of their impact by tackling causes from animal welfare to refugee programs to coastal conservation.
