In 2016, family and friends of Mallory Brewer created the Mallory’s Way Scholarship Fund. Mallory passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2016, and the scholarship serves as a lasting legacy of Mallory’s memory.

Mallory obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in marketing administration from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Mallory was a dedicated gymnast who received a gymnastics scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh and became the first Pitt Panther gymnast to win first place in floor exercises at the Eagle Championship.

During her undergraduate years at the University of Pittsburgh, Mallory was drastically encumbered by her financial struggles to afford college. The Mallory’s Way Scholarship Fund provides young female student athletes an opportunity to resolve the financial burdens associated with pursuing higher education.

The qualified applicant must be a female student athlete demonstrating financial need. Priority consideration will be given to gymnasts, secondary priority to swimmers and divers, and finally to female athletes in general. The Mallory’s Way Scholarship Fund aims to honor Mallory’s passions as a student athlete by providing opportunities for other young female athletes.
