The Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1975 is proud to be the first class to offer a scholarship to a graduating TJ senior. The Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1975 Scholarship Fund was established in 2020, marking 45 years since graduation. Their senior class motto was “Party on ’75.” And they have!
The Class of 1975 now, however, wants to recognize and honor the outstanding education they received and the lifelong friendships they made. This scholarship will be giving back all they were given. The Class wants the scholarship to represent the dreams of all classmates, and the recipient(s) to be someone who reflects them as a Class.
This scholarship is also a tribute to deceased classmates, who were dear friends, shared their lives, and always will remain in their hearts.
Following their 40th reunion in 2015, a classmate wrote, “ I believe at some point in the future we will all look back over our life and hope in some small way we have had a positive impact on the lives of others.” The scholarship is their small way of being that positive impact on students coming after them. Thomas Jefferson High School formed the Class of 1975 members into who they are, and this scholarship is their legacy.
