Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh: 2020 unrestricted grants

Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh is a shared arts initiative of The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments.
Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh is a shared arts initiative of The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments.

In 2020, 79 grants of $500 each in unrestricted financial support were awarded totaling $39,500. As recommended by the Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh review panel, these grants ensure that all artist applicants eligible for funding received support. The $500 grants are in recognition of the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on the Black community and to honor each artist’s time and efforts and support their creative work. Read more about major fall 2020 grants from the Advance Black Arts in Pittsburgh program in the fall 2020 news release.
