The Pennsylvania Sustainable Initiative Fund (PSIF) was established in 2014 to support Eden Christian Academy (ECA) through grant requests made by ECA upper school students interested in various sustainable building techniques, green design, and healthy school initiatives for the school.
As students apply for grants, they will also gain a greater understanding of nonprofit organizations, the grant process, and funds available to support a worthy cause. By involving ECA students in the design and construction process, the fund hopes that students will feel a greater sense of ownership in their school and a desire to be good stewards of the financial and natural resources with which Eden has been blessed.
