Established in 1966, the Jacob A. and Frieda M. Hunkele Charitable Fund was created by Jacob Hunkele of Fox Chapel to benefit local and national charities supporting religion, public health, education and medicine. Those charities include, among others, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, Mercy Hospital and American Cancer Society.
