In her lifetime, Mary Murtland Wurts loved and enjoyed art. She was especially interested in decorative arts. For years, Wurts supported and was involved with the Carnegie Museum of Art.
In 1979, Mr. William Scott and Mrs. Catherine Scott created the Mary Murtland Wurts Fund to honor their dear friend and neighbor as well as her love for art. The fund is dedicated to supporting the Carnegie Museum of Art in Wurts’ name.
