Alice Hearne Gillmor Memorial Fund
If you have any questions or issues making a donation, please read these FAQs or email us at donation [at] pghfdn.org (donation[at]pghfdn[dot]org).
The Alice Hearne Gillmor Memorial Fund was established with a charitable gift from George B. Gillmor, Jr. after his death in 1982. Alice Gillmor was George Gillmor’s mother and the dominant parental influence in his life, as his father died when George was a young boy.
The fund was established for the exclusive “tuition, maintenance and support, use and benefit of Futures for Children,” a nonprofit in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For more than 40 years, Futures for Children organized programs to improve the quality of education available to Native American students. Since the dissolution of Futures for Children in the 2010s, the fund has supported the Coro Center for Civic Leadership, United Somali Bantu of Greater Pittsburgh Inc. and Social Venture Partners Pittsburgh.
