Pittsburgh Creche organizers hoping to raise enough funds to endow display

The Christian Leaders Fellowship has set up the endowment fund at the Pittsburgh Foundation, which is administrating it. The principal would be kept permanently in the fund, according to the plan, with the interest used to meet the estimated cost of up to $70,000 to transport and set up the creche. The DLM Foundation is offering to match up to $200,000 in donations through March 6, according to the Pittsburgh Foundation.

Crowdfunding event for critical needs services to benefit Tree of Life victims

The Pittsburgh Foundation has launched an online giving event to benefit eight organizations that are helping victims of the mass shooting at Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill. The crowdfunding appeal, #LoveIsStronger, runs through Sunday and can be accessed at the website, www.pittsburghgives.org. The foundation will match donations dollar for dollar up to $150,000.
