Maxwell King Elected Board Chairman, Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation, parent organization of 90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh’s NPR news station, and 91.3 WYEP,  elected a new slate of officers and welcomed eight new Directors to the Board at its December, 2020 meeting, including the election of Maxwell King as Board Chair and Dina Clark as Vice Chair.

Officials at the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County are launching a search for a new executive director, following the announcement Tuesday that Phil Koch is moving into a new post at The Pittsburgh Foundation. Koch will maintain his post with the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, where he served for five years, while officials seek a successor. Koch will transition into the role of vice president for Policy and Community Impact at The Pittsburgh Foundation.

As the Rev. Glenn Grayson looks back at the decadelong “journey without Jeron,” he recalls some of the final words of his son. Jeron X. Grayson had just survived a serious auto accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in October 2010 on a weekend trip home to Pittsburgh from college.
