Foundation outlines August Wilson Center revival plan PITTSBURGH, PA, Dec. 4, 2014 – With the sale of the building completed, the foundations group that has been leading a year-long effort to save the August Wilson Center from permanent closure, or from re-opening in a way that runs counter to its original intent, has announced a re-structuring plan that will allow it to begin a productive second life as soon as possible.

Arts Day of Giving delivers nearly $1.5 millionfor region’s arts and culture organizations PITTSBURGH, Pa., October 3, 2014 – Nearly $1.5 million was pumped into the Pittsburgh region’s arts community in one 18-hour period yesterday, validating the fundraising power of the second Arts Day of Giving. A total of 8,208 individual donations received a nearly 25 percent match through the program, referred to, artistically, as artDOG, yesterday.

Gov. to sign law creating Department of Human Services via Campaign for What Works
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18, 2014 -- The PA House - by a great 155 to 35 vote - approved changing the name of the Department of Public Welfare to the Department of Human Services on Wednesday, Sept. 17. The bill is now before Gov. Corbett, who says he will sign it.
