Kaufman Foundation, part of The Pittsburgh Foundation, today announced its 2014 grants – amounting to $1.95 million – to support cutting-edge scientific research at institutions across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Talent City encourages public participation in search for Pittsburgh’s new chief of police
PITTSBURGH, June 24, 2014 -- The Talent City initiative has developed an expanded process to assist the City of Pittsburgh and engage wide public participation in the search for Pittsburgh’s new Chief of Police. Talent City will partner with The Art of Democracy and Carnegie Mellon University’s Program for Deliberative Democracy to convene a series of public forums to provide residents with the opportunity to be involved in the process of selecting a new Chief of Police.
