Dr. George L. Fahey was a Professor at University of Pittsburgh and his wife Dallas Darrow Fahey was a Librarian. George died on April 14, 1988 at the age of 81. Dallas passed away on Dec. 6, 1991 at the age of 84.

While very little is known about the couple, and they have no surviving contacts, the University of Pittsburgh offers some details on George's life. The couple lived in Aspinwall. George was a retired U.S. Army Officer. He worked for University of Pittsburgh from 1939-1975 as a professor in the Schools of Psychology and Education. During his tenure, he served as Director of the Vocational Guidance Center, Director of the University Testing Service and was a member of AAAS American Psychological Association. His major fields of study were Human Learning, Psychometrics, Personnel Appraisal and Teacher Training.

George also assisted in the creation of a Gerontology major in the School of Social Work that served the needs of the aging Baby Boomer population. He retired in 1985.
