The Marchand Fund was established by Rose Neumann in memory of her parents, Albert and Bertha Marchand. Ms. Neumann, who died in 1963, left instructions for the establishment of the fund in her will. The fund is devoted “to the research and alleviation of heart, cancer and polio diseases.” For more than 30 years, the fund has made sizeable and effective grants to nonprofits, hospitals, and universities conducting research on cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
