This fund provides funding to students in Western Pennsylvania who are studying American politics. The J. Steele Gow Political Fellows Program was established in 1965 in memory of J. Steele Gow.

Gow was the executive director of the Maurice and Laura Falk Foundation from its beginning in 1929 until its termination in 1965. Gow had a passion for economic and political science research.

This fund was later combined with the James G. Fulton Internship Fund to create the James G. Fulton and J. Steele Gow Political Internship Fund. This fund provides funding for up to two students a year to intern with Pennsylvania congressional representatives in Washington, D.C.
