Community House is a place for discovery. It exists as a nondenominational space for anyone, coming from a religious background or not, to explore a Christian view of the world in an atmosphere of acceptance, respect and authenticity. It is a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), but welcomes anyone to come and share in the intellectual and spiritual conversation in its worship services, educational programs, and constant community.

Community House also strives to empower young members of the congregation and the community at large to share their stories, through the organization’s literacy program and in the spirit of sharing and listening central to the Church’s mission. The Community Literacy program receives major support from the Church’s technology center, where students can learn digital and multimedia storytelling skills to better communicate their experiences and perspectives in the modern world.

The Community House Church Fund supports all of these efforts, and helps the Community House to continue offering a space for collaboration and growth in Allegheny County.
