Spring Donor Event: Innovation Meets Legacy
When: Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Where: Energy Innovation Center [1435 Bedford Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219]
By invitation only
Have you ever wondered how The Pittsburgh Foundation makes decisions on big projects - where and with whom they invest precious grant dollars and how they adjust lofty hopes and dreams to ground-level realities?
As a valued member of The Pittsburgh Foundation family, you have an opportunity to be on the inside track as President and CEO Maxwell King provides an overview and historical context for "100 Percent Pittsburgh," one of the most exciting public initiatives ever undertaken by the Foundation.
Be among the first to learn about the initiative that is designed to extend the benefits coming from Pittsburgh's revitalized economy and new quality-of-life vibrancy to groups that have historically been left out.
The event will be held at the Energy Innovation Center in the lower Hill District. The Center is dedicated to developing a socially responsible workforce, advancing energy and sustainable technology, and promoting diversity, innovation and comprehensive education.
Following Mr. King's remarks, guests will be invited to tour the Center and/or take a guided coach tour of the historic Hill District neighborhood with Terri Baltimore, a Hill District Historian who also is director of community engagement at the Hill House, a neighborhood revitalization and economic development organization.
