Board Governance Workshop

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 9 a.m. to Noon

This session will focus on the legal responsibilities of a nonprofit board of directors. Participants will receive practical governance tools, clear roles and responsibilities and simple structures that help nonprofit boards operate effectively. They will also learn how to strengthen oversight, support staff (or volunteer leaders) and keep their organization mission‑focused—even with limited capacity. We invite you to bring a member of your board for this informative and engaging session on the fundamentals of nonprofit board governance.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • This educational event is exclusively for small organizations with budgets of $750,000 or less and have received funding from The Pittsburgh Foundation recently (from 2023 through present).
