Randy & Stephanie Meyer Spread Goodness Fund logo with two doves. The Randy and Stephanie Meyer Spread Goodness Fund was established as a testament to the giving spirits of two people who dedicated their lives to being of service to others.

On Aug. 19, 2023, after a courageous 10-year battle with appendix cancer, Randy, age 38, passed peacefully at home, in the arms of his loving wife, Stephanie. Randy’s memory lives on through this fund and aims to ease the financial burden on families of cancer patients in the Pittsburgh region as they move through their difficult journey. The fund also supports local Christian-based organizations that provide support for those experiencing homelessness. Both causes were extremely important to Randy and Stephanie.

Your contribution to the fund will be directed to organizations serving families of those battling appendix cancer by aiding with travel, housing and related expenses. Additionally, the fund will provide funding to organizations serving the homeless population in the City of Pittsburgh, which is needed now more than ever to bring them closer to their faith. By coming together and spreading goodness, the family aims to honor Randy’s legacy which consisted of being dedicated to his faith constantly spreading positive energy, always giving back to others selflessly with over 16 years of being a City of Pittsburgh firefighter and supporting those in the community who need it most.
