South Fayette Community Fund

Established: 3/30/2015

The South Fayette Community Fund, as part of The Pittsburgh Foundation, aims to enhance park facilities and community amenities for residents, businesses and service organizations in South Fayette Township. The municipality, established in 1842, has experienced enormous growth in recent decades and has recognized the need to expand recreational opportunities, build a sense of community and strengthen township identity—goals reflected in the township’s tagline, “A Community Growing Together.”

The fund was created thanks to the efforts of the Parks and Recreation Board, in conjunction with township staff, elected officials and community support. Donors can give tax-deductible funds earmarked for the township’s parks, recreation programs and community development initiatives.

South Fayette Township, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, is a 20.95-square-mile township located about 17 miles southwest of Pittsburgh and 15 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport.
