Team Cassie Fund

The Bruno Family established the Team Cassie Fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation to spread awareness, acceptance and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. Mike Bruno -- supported by his wife, Jennifer, and daughters Carly and Cassie -- has raised $23,500 as of June 2017 for the Team Cassie Fund by running the Pittsburgh Marathon in honor of Cassie, who is blind and has autism. Over the years, Mike Bruno’s runs in her honor have included running blindfolded, later pushing Cassie the entire 26.2 miles, and, most recently running a mile with Cassie in the 2017 Kids of Steel Children’s Marathon.
