Sel and Sue Whitaker established this fund for their own charitable giving. After Sel's death, it was opened to outside contributions from friends and loved ones. The spirit of their compassion will guide their daughter, Kathryn, in directing future grants through The Pittsburgh Foundation to organizations that work to break the cycle of poverty.
