Eli BusottiThe Live Like Eli Scholarship Fund was established in 2019 to honor the legacy of Eli Bussotti. In 2018, Eli was a senior at Highlands High School when he lost his life to injuries sustained in a car accident.

Eli had a child-like wonder that was contagious and set an example of how to be present in the moment and live life to the fullest. He was compassionate, kind, wise, full of charm and humor. Eli had a unique way of bringing people together and made people feel accepted and special. He taught his family and friends many powerful life lessons about love: How to give and how to receive love, how to love without boundaries, how to embrace what you love to the fullest, and how to let go of what no longer serves you.

Eli was a selfless soul, and even in his final moments, he continued to provide love and life to others though organ and tissue donation.

His surviving family and friends are honored to have him as a model of how to make others feel loved, special and supported. In honor of Eli’s memory, this fund has been established to support a senior or a graduate of Highlands High School who is pursuing post-secondary education or training. For more information and eligibility criteria, please visit the Live Like Eli Scholarship Fund application page.

The scholarship is an endowed perpetual scholarship which is funded to award a minimum of $1,000 annually. Please considering donating to this scholarship as a way to celebrate Eli’s life and to support the young members of his community who are working towards making the world a bit brighter.
