Explore Series: Start-up Arts Organizations
Donor Event: Explore Series - Start-Up Arts Organizations
(1st in series)
When: Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Where: Radiant Hall [4514 Plummer Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201]
By invitation only
You are invited to join us for “Explore,” an exciting new event series offering an exclusive, first-hand educational opportunity through The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Center for Philanthropy. Our donor services and program officers have created three events, each designed to provide a deeper understanding of an area of the nonprofit sector through exposure to the group of organizations doing effective work within. Each session will be lead by a different program officer with expertise in that area of philanthropy.
For the first event in June, we will be exploring start-up arts organizations. In July, we will be learning about exciting community development in Braddock, and in October, we will delve into food, nutrional health, and environmental sustainability at Chatham University's Eden Hall campus.
As a follow-up to the events, we will invite donors to co-invest with us in specialized grant making. While the primary goal of these events are donor education and awareness building, we believe many will want to participate in co-investment opportunities that will be offered through the Center for Philanthropy.
Lunch. Learn. Explore.
Please join us and discover how these local arts organizations are shaping culture and enriching the community by taking bold steps to engage new and diverse audiences.
