Vladimir R. Bakaleinikoff Memorial Fund The Vladimir R. Bakaleinikoff Memorial Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to undergraduates (juniors, for their senior year) pursing an education in the field of music.

Average Award: $3,000
Award Type: Single Year. Previous recipients are encouraged to re-apply in consecutive years.
Application Period Closes: The application for this scholarship will open at a later date. Please check this page again in December for updated information.


  • Attend a local college or university with a bona fide School of Music as an undergraduate student.
  • Graduated from a high school in Allegheny County, PA.
  • Pursue a degree or studies in music.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

How to Apply

  • Complete the essay section of the application.
  • Submit your Student Aid Report (SAR). If you have not already received your SAR, you can do so by applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Submit two letters of reference from individuals unrelated to you.
  • Submit your unofficial transcripts.
