Office furniture donations aid area nonprofits

Raging wildfires in Los Angeles County, California, have caused fatalities and injuries and displaced tens of thousands. The crisis has touched every corner of the Los Angeles region. Recovery from natural disasters span years, leaving communities grappling with impacts long after media attention and initial donations fade. Here are several organizations and localized community foundations who are accepting emergency relief donations to help those in need.

This week, the Pittsburgh Foundation’s Board and staff honor the life and dedicated service of Emeritus Board member Robert Bozzone, who died on June 7 at age 90.

As the news of Jim Roddey’s death, at age 91, settles across his beloved Pittsburgh and in seats of government from Harrisburg to Washington, D.C., admiring tributes are appearing everywhere.  

It is with great sadness that we learned Alfred “Burr” Wishart Jr., the longest serving leader of The Pittsburgh Foundation, died Thursday, April 20, in his home in Vero Beach, Florida, at age 91. Burr was a force for good who demonstrated how community philanthropy could serve as a unifying force and a lever for transformational change.
