Lonnie T. Doman Scholarship Fund

The Lonnie T. Doman Scholarship Fund was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation in memory of Lonnie T. Doman to provide scholarships to graduating seniors or past gradutes of high schools in Washington County, PA, with a preference for McGuffey High School graduates.

Average Award: Up to $10,000 over up to 4 years.
Award Type: Renewable award (up to 3 additional years)
Application Period Opens: 1/06/2027
Application Period Closes: 2/17/2027

Criteria

  • Pursue a degree or studies in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Plan to attend or be attending an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university, or an accredited trade or technical school.
  • Be a graduating senior, or a previous graduate of a high school in Washington County, PA.
  • Preference will be given to graduates of McGuffey High School.
