Erie Bailes Bredon Memorial Scholarship Fund The Erie Bailes Bredon Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by her family and created at The Pittsburgh Foundation in honor of Erie Bailes Bredon, who was a hardworking elementary teacher for more than 35 years. She taught many of those years in Richwood. She began teaching after studying at home and passing the required teaching test. She attended Glenville State College summers, graduated and received her teaching certificate. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Richwood High School planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university. Preference will be given to students enrolling at Glenville State College.

Criteria

  • Attend Richwood High School in Richwood, West Virginia, 26261 as a graduating senior.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Plan to attend a 2-or 4-year college or university in the United States.
  • Preference will be given to students planning to attend Glenville State College.
