For nursing students in their final year of their program.

For graduating high school seniors at McKeesport High School.

For children and spouses of U.S. service men and women who are currently in active service or have previously served in any U.S. war dating back to the U.S.-Iraq war declared in March of 2003.

For 3rd or 4th year University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine students who reside in Western PA and have financial need. Preference for applicants who were born, raised, and currently residing in the Western Pennsylvania region.

For students living in the Mon Valley region of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

For students who prefer a vocational program or a 2-year college program.

For students attending school in Allegheny County, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Washington or Westmoreland County.

For graduating seniors of West Mifflin High School or East Allegheny High School.

For graduating high school seniors of Pittsburgh Public Schools who plan to attend a vocational or academic college and have a financial need.

For outstanding students who reside in Southwestern PA and study various fields of communications.
