American Community Survey shows that Pittsburgh poverty is higher than the national average

Last month, the American Community Survey by the Census Bureau released its annual report on poverty. Data from the survey shows that poverty in the city of Pittsburgh is, on average, much higher than the country, with even greater rates of poverty for Black, Indigenous, People of color (BIPOC) and Hispanic peoples.
