Scholarship Stories
Scholarship funds at The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County have a major impact on the scholars who receive them. These funds put higher education more easily in reach of students who might otherwise have difficulty affording school. In 2020, the Foundations awarded 735 scholarships totaling $2.64 million. Awards are guided by dedicated volunteer committees who review applications and recommend scholarships that help students stay on the path toward their dreams of higher education and self-betterment. Just how much do these awards mean to our scholars?
